The Virginia Economic Development Partnership is seeking an Associate Business Manager to provide professional services to the Business Investment team to successfully locate economic development projects in Virginia and expand existing businesses in the Commonwealth.

The Associate Business Manager will support VEDP's lead generation programs to prospective companies, site selection consultants and commercial real estate brokers. The position will support the development of industry initiatives that generate new inquiries and prospects for the Business Investment division. The position will support project management by providing effective and prompt responses to prospect and staff inquiries; planning and participating in community visits; participating in, and assisting with, project calls, and meetings. The Associate Business Manager will assist with preparing memos, economic development proposals and marketing presentations, and is expected to maintain strong relationships with VEDP's economic development partners, clients, and other stakeholders.

The successful applicant must have excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. The Associate Business Manager must be able to work well under pressure and within tight deadlines, work collaboratively to accomplish goals, and make decisions based on logical analysis and sound judgment. Demonstrated proficiency in using multiple software packages required, with MSO in a Windows environment experience preferred. Contact management software experience desirable. The Associate Business Manager must have a valid Virginia driver's license or obtain a VA license within 60 days of employment and must be able to obtain a passport. Overnight travel is required. Marketing and project management experience in a local or regional economic development office is preferred. An undergraduate degree in business, marketing, communications or related field or equivalent training and experience is required. It offers a comprehensive and competitive benefits package and an excellent working environment. Hiring range: $45,000 to $55,000.

The Virginia Economic Development Partnership (VEDP) is seeking a Graphic Designer to assist in day-to-day design projects for the Communications and Promotions Division. This position will be responsible for assisting team members in designing branded marketing communications for VEDP, including but not limited to industry print pieces, presentation tools, signage, business cards, letterhead and promotional materials.

The Graphic Designer must have 1-2 years of graphic design experience, including mastery of the Adobe Creative programs such as Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign. The applicant must be able to prioritize work and effectively manage multiple projects; communicate effectively verbally and in writing with all levels of employees; work independently as well as collaboratively within a multi-discipline team environment; work well under pressure in meeting deadlines; exhibit sound judgment in making decisions; and maintain confidentiality on sensitive matters. Experience in creative development and proficiency in graphic design software is required. Advanced proficiency in PowerPoint is required. Post-secondary degree in graphic design, advertising, communications or fine arts and/or professional certifications are preferred. Hiring range: $40,000-$50,000.
